Freedom from the Overactive Mind: We as humans are often shackled by our overthinking, reactive minds that rarely let us experience complete peace and clarity. Mindfulness, breathing and somatic practices are some of the ways we can transform the reactive mind into a more peaceful, clear and creative state. In this session we’ll have a blend of all three types of practices (with self-compassion sprinkled in).
Description of breathwork:
Breathing into Wholeness is a powerful way to move energy, gain greater clarity, and unravel stuck places. Generally this practice is done lying on the back, breathing dynamically through an open mouth, in and out without pauses or breath holds. The breath journey is lightly guided and accompanied by carefully selected evocative music.
This gentle yet deep way of breathing into and embracing whatever wants to move through us helps us to more easily unlock and release old, trapped energies, patterns, conditioning, negative thoughts and emotions that keep us from our own sense of wholeness and fulfillment.
Every breath we take is sacred...an opportunity to connect with our deeper wisdom!
Devi Peri
Devi completed her Clarity Breathwork facilitator training over 10 years ago. For the first couple years after her training, Devi worked primarily coaching individuals, bringing her background in mindfulness and embodied movement, along with nature connection into her one-on-one breathwork sessions (Earth&Body Breathwork program). Once she moved to Santa Cruz in 2017, she expanded her practice to also offer group classes and workshops, now known as Breathing into Wholeness.
